Oscar Predictions: Best Live Action Short

This year, Oscar nominations will be announced on Monday, January 13th. I’ll be offering detailed predictions in most of the major categories.

Last year’s nominees: Detainment, Fauve, Madre, Marguerite, Skin

There are ten finalists in this category, and while a handful of them are available to watch online, I haven’t had a chance to do so yet. Therefore, I’ll be making my predictions based on short summaries and watching the five that make the cut after nominations are announced.

Predicted nominees: Brotherhood, Miller and Son, Nefta Football Club, The Neighbor’s Window, Sometimes, I Think About Dying

Alternates: The Christmas Gift, Little Hands, Refugee, Saria, A Sister

Forecasted winner: Maybe Miller and Son? More once nominees are announced and I’ve had a chance to watch them.
