Guest Review: Big Miracle (Capsule Review)

I’ll be honest – I’m a sucker for a movie about whales, particularly when it involves John Krasinski and Drew Barrymore. But for weeks I was eager to see Big Miracle, and, unfortunately, Abe did not share my excitement. Hence, my debut MoviesWithAbe.com blog post was born. I thought the movie was cute. It didn’t seem to have one of those cliché storylines, and I actually appreciated the involvement of so many different types of characters as oil drillers, businessmen, politicians, “hippies,” grassroots organizations and lobbyists, reporters, Eskimos, and average citizens all came together to save the whales. You’ll obviously have to see the film to find out how the mission plays out, but it’s an exciting, entertaining, somewhat romantic, and even funny movie, and I would certainly recommend it for a happy-go-lucky outing.
