The competition: Darren Aronofosky (Black Swan), David O. Russell (The Fighter), Christopher Nolan (Inception), Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech), and David Fincher (The Social Network).

For your information: Nolan, also nominated for penning his film’s screenplay, has one previous screenwriting nod, for “Memento.” Fincher was nominated in 2008 for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.” All five films are nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama.

Who should win: Nolan or Fincher

Who will win: It’s probably safe to say this goes to Fincher.
