Golden Globe Winner Predictions: Best Motion Picture – Drama

The competition: Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, The King’s Speech, The Social Network

For your information: “The King’s Speech” is the nominations leader with seven nods, “The Fighter” and “The Social Network” have six, and “Black Swan” and “Inception” have four. Every film here is nominated for Best Director. “Black Swan” and “The Fighter” are not up for Best Screenplay. An interesting note: since 2004, with one exception (“Slumdog Millionaire”), the winner of this category has not gone on to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

Who should win: “The Social Network”

Who will win: It’s hard to tell if “The King’s Speech” or The Social Network will prevail. My money is on the latter.
