The nominees: Avatar, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, Nine, Sherlock Holmes, The Young Victoria

This is where this year’s biggest musical did manage to get recognized, along with three other films that seemed more likely in other categories and one planet-scale lock. All five of these movies are quite mesmerizing and intriguing, and all deserve to be here.
