Golden Globe Winner Predictions: Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical
The competition: Annette Bening’s high-strung life partner (The Kids Are All Right), Anne Hathaway’s Parkinson’s-afflicted reluctant girlfriend (Love and Other Drugs), Angelina Jolie’s alluring British seductress (The Tourist), Julianne Moore’s wavering life partner (The Kids Are All Right), and Emma Stone’s sarcastic teen (Easy A).
For your information: This is Bening’s sixth film nomination, having won for “Being Julia” in 2004. This is Moore’s fifth nomination, and she has yet to win a Globe. Jolie has won two TV trophies and earned three film nominations in the past, winning in 1999 for “Girl, Interrupted.” Hathaway was previously nominated in 2008 for “Rachel Getting Married.” This is Stone’s first nomination.
Who should win: Bening would be fine, though Stone would also be really cool.
Who will win: Stone would be a huge, terrific shocker, but this is much likelier (and still deservedly) going to Bening.
